James Daniel (J.D.) Little Sr.

James Daniel (J.D.) Little Sr., age 87 of Maumelle, formerly of North Little Rock, died January 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. Born February 22, 1927 in Opal, Arkansas (Polk County), a son of Joseph D. and Ruby Lee Little. He was a World War II veteran. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 33 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by wife, Virginia; three daughters, Tracy Temple (Brad) of Conway, Jody Little (Jerry Parker) of Maumelle, Lisa England (Lucky) of Maumelle; one son, James Little (Vera Hitt) of North Little Rock; two sisters, Mary Little of North Little Rock and Joann Stewman of Mena; four grandsons, Chad England (Mandy), Brandon Temple (Rachel), Ty Temple and Daniel Little; one granddaughter, Michelle Little; two great-granddaughters, Haylie and Gracyn England and two great-grandsons, Mason and Easton Temple. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400), with entombment following at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
