Everet Glen Starr, 88, of North Little Rock, departed his family and earthly home to reside with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015. He is survived by his beloved sweetheart of 67 years, Hazel. Everet is also survived by his children, Deborah Starr; Everet Starr Jr. (Denise); David Starr (Sally) of Denver, Colorado; brother and sisters, Herbert Starr (Elsie); Ruth Potter (Cecil); Roberta Stephens; sister-in-law, Peggy Starr; grandchildren, Andrew Watt; Katy (Watt) Norton; Wesley Paoletti of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Maile Starr of Denver; Kyle Starr of Denver and one great grandchild, Tyler Norton and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. Everet was preceded in death by his sisters and a brother, Lillian Hackworth; Mary Pope; Virginia Castleman and Rhea Starr Jr. Everet proudly served his country as a member of our armed forces for decades. Not unlike many other young men their day, Everet's military career began during WW II, as a member of the United States Navy. At the conclusion of the war, Everet joined the United States Army from which he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. A visitation and celebration of Everet's life will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock on Wednesday, January 21st, 2015. The visitation will commence at 11 a.m. and the funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Burial, with Military Honors, will begin at 1 pm and will be held at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock.
