Justin Meadows

Justin Wayne Meadows of Searcy, Ark. died on January 18 at the age of 34. Almost everyone who knew him remembers him for his big heart and giving spirit. Even within the last three weeks of this life on earth, he made extra effort to help others who were struggling. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Lil Harris of Searcy and his paternal grandmother, Nona Meadows of El Dorado, Ark. He is survived by his paternal grandparents, John and Elaine Meadows of El Dorado; his parents, Rusty and Nancy Meadows of Searcy; two sisters, Amanda McNabb (Nick) of Searcy and Anna Meadows (Todd Lindsey, fiancé) of Little Rock. Justin was also the father of and is survived by three beautiful children, Chandler and Avery Meadows (and their mother, Michal Cullipher) of Cabot and Finn Meadows (and his mother, Jenny Meadows) of Colorado Springs, Colo., as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. As a younger person, Justin loved going to Camp Kurios and Camp Tahkodah, Christian youth camps that bring joy to so many. He liked the outdoors and, at a young age, learned to deer hunt with his dad. He liked fishing and just enjoyed being in nature. Justin loved playing sports and was a big fan of college athletics, especially the Razorbacks. His adult life was challenged by a struggle with mental and addiction disorders. These challenges were very destructive in his life and cost him many of the relationships that he held so dear. There were good times and bad, but he truly yearned to be well. He was confident in his relationship with God even though he often asked, "Why?" He knew he was loved by his family but more importantly, by his God. Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, January 24 at the Downtown church of Christ in Searcy. A memorial service will follow immediately at 2 p.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Spark of Life, P.O.
