Luvenia Millie Norwood Knopp, 98, of Heber Springs, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015. She was born Nov. 18, 1916 in Jerusalem, Ark., a daughter of John Anderson Norwood and Fannie Elizabeth Guinn Norwood. She was the widow of Earl Afton Knopp, sales clerk for Greers Clothing Store, and a longtime member of Downtown Church of Christ in Morrilton. Survivors include her daughter, Joey Lue Henry of Little Rock; grandson, Curtis Henry of Heber Springs; granddaughter, Valerie McDermott of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Chance McDermott, Dax and Alex Henry; sister, Johnnie Leggett of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Afton Knopp; four sisters, Mary Taylor, Lillie Stroud, Bernice Roper and Hazel Moore; two nieces, Della Delao and Rebecca Wylia. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at the Harris Chapel with Mr. Charles Bane officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris service.
