Claudis A. "Bud" Morris

Claudis A. "Bud" Morris, 75, of Heber Springs, passed from this life January 28, 2015. Born April 21, 1939 in the DeWitt, Arkansas area, he was the son of the late James Wesley and Mable Hall Morris. Bud accepted God into his life January 16, 1956 and as he grew older he became a minister and ordained Elder in The Church of the Firstborn and was very devoted to his church. He was united in marriage to Alma Jackson July 18, 1959. They were blessed with three precious daughters. Bud is survived by his wife, Alma; two daughters Becky Horton (Phil) of Heber Springs; Christy Ruby (Chris) of Greenbrier; seven grandchildren Kim, Derek, Channing, Taryn, Kasey, Ty and Tate; eight great-grandchildren Hayden, Chase, Justin, Sydney, Mia, Ellie, Addie and Isaiah; one great-great grandson Keegan; one brother Gary Morris of DeWitt; one sister Helen Herald of Conway; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and church members. Bud was preceded in death by one daughter Denise Wilkinson and an infant son; sisters, Addie Lee Shepherd and Betty Boyce; one brother J.W. Morris and his parents. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 31 at 1 p.m. in Olmstead Chapel. Interment will be in Firstborn Cemetery. Arrangements by Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc.
