Roger Allen Hughes

Roger Allen Hughes, who goes by Allen passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Allen was born in DeWitt, Arkansas on August 15, 1943. He was a Navy Veteran. After his military service Allen was employed by LTV and then Sante Fe Railroad. In 1986, Allen and his wife, Linda relocated from Texas to Little Rock where they began their own business and continued until his passing. He and his wife recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and grandson, Jordan. Allen is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Melinda (Darrell); his daughter, Diana (David) and his grandchildren, Ryan, Noelle, Katie, Gabe and Natalie and two brothers, Doug and Rick. He is also survived by many dear friends from the Little Rock area who have meant so much to Allen and Linda and have been a family to them. He was an avid sports watcher, especially favoring his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He was also a Razorback fan. Melinda and Diana shared this interest in sports and cherish many baseball memories with their Dad. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in the Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800.
