Max Louis Halbert, 79, of Maumelle, Ark., passed away suddenly Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center. He was born Monday, Jan. 13, 1936 in Prattsville, Ark. to L.H. "Preacher" Halbert and Loretta Keesee Halbert who both predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Loretta Munn Halbert; three sons: Lance & wife, Karen Halbert of Little Rock, Ark., Scott & wife, Angie Halbert of Allen, Texas, and Jon & wife, Debbie Halbert of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Jane Fox, of Conway, Ark.; six grandchildren: Brian, Kimberly, Jared, Audra, Jessica, and Mandy Halbert; two stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a niece and nephew. Max was a long time member of Little Rock's First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. He was retired from Entergy Corporation where he was General Manager of White Bluff Power Plant in Redfield, Ark. Visitation will be Monday evening, July 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark., 501-224-8300 with funeral services, Tuesday, July 7, 1 p.m. at Little Rock's First Baptist Church, 62 Pleasant Valley Drive.
