Morgan Rae McAlexander, 17, of Conway passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. She was born on March 9, 1998 in Little Rock to Kevin and Carla McAlexander. Morgan was an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Conway. She has played soccer since the age of four. She currently enjoyed playing for Conway High School as #13 and Arkansas United club team as #4. Morgan enjoyed painting with friends and family. She loved spending time outdoors, swimming, hiking or just being with friends. Morgan's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Her motto was: Let your Faith Be Bigger than your Fear. She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Carla Smothers McAlexander of Conway; brother, Mason McAlexander of Conway; grandparents, O.D. and Terry Smothers of North Little Rock, Steve and Janet Fox of Hogansville, Georgia and Thomas McAlexander of Jefferson, Texas. She is also survived by her boyfriend, Zach Ingram; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her memaw, Denise McAlexander. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 at New Life Church in Conway. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Erwin, Sean Canady, Daniel Hogan, George Baker, TJ Virden and Kevin Tucker. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Jolly, Zach Ingram, Jim Ingram and Alex Barlow. Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. Thursday July 9, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Morgan's family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical staff at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Shepherd Center and Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia that cared for and loved Morgan during her time of need.
