Normagene Green Milner "Norma," 87, a lifelong resident of Little Rock died peacefully at her home Monday, June 29, 2015. She was born March 30, 1928 in Little Rock. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, E.L. Milner, M.D.; her parents, Robert H. Green and Odie Criglow Green of Little Rock; and her brother, Robert L. Green of Greenville, S.C. She is survived by her children: Stephanie Milner Knoebel (Bob) of Tyler, Texas, Robin Milner Edington (John) of Burleson, Texas, Alyson Milner Almond (Michael) of Maumelle, and Eric Lee Milner (Shannon) of Little Rock; six grandchildren: Ryan Knoebel (Ana), Doug Edington, Megan Knoebel, Alex Edington, Hunter Almond, and Rebecca Almond; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She attended Little Rock High School, Central College in Conway, and graduated from Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas. A life filled with many accomplishments and work with organizations and schools, she was a voracious reader and loved documentaries about science, nature, and the exploration of space. She was a Girl Scout Leader; a volunteer at Our Lady of Good Counsel School; a member of Bas Bleu, several garden clubs, bridge clubs, and investment groups. An early adopter of the computer in the 1980's, she taught herself computer programming and finance, even creating a software program for the amortization of bonds. She managed the medical practice of her husband, E.L. Milner, M.D., until his retirement and worked tirelessly to care for her family. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, (501) 224-8300. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the funeral home, and burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
