Margaret Carlotta Smith

Margaret Carlotta Smith, age 94, of Lake Village died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center of Little Rock, Ark. Carlotta was born October 15, 1920 in Fulton, Ark. She is the daughter of the late J.S. and the late Helen (Roberts) Moser. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bonnie Smith, two sons, Jimmie Smith, and Phillip Ray Smith, two brothers, Ralph Moser, Marvin Moser, and a sister, Dorothy Latshaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Village Baptist Church where she served as the pianist for 50 plus years. She was well known for sharing her musical talents with the community. She is survived by two daughters: Bonnie Mazzanti and husband, Richard of Lake Village, Dorothy Lynn Hackett and husband, John of Prescott, and two sons: Phillip Dean Smith of Longview, Texas, Bruce Smith and wife, Lissa of Lake Village. She also has 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Lake Village Baptist Church, with Bro. Tim Chennalut officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Village Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
