Houston "Jimmy" Davis, Jr., 73, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born October 11, 1941, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Houston Eulis Davis Sr. and Alice Young Davis. He attended Pine Bluff High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves in 1959, and was in active duty for six years. He worked in communications and office machines for several years. Mr. Davis worked at Pine Bluff Office Machine, OMI Office, Mayhew Office, Delta Communication, Tie Communication and Tyson. He was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and an active member of the Pine Bluff Lodge #69 since August 28, 1964 and the York Rites. He was a past Master Mason of the Pine Bluff Lodge and the holder of the Pillars of Solomon Award. He was awarded his 50 years pin in 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife, Floy Jean Toole, whom he married August 17, 1961; a son, Martin Floyd Davis (Clydine); two daughters, Deann Elaine Stewart (Chuck), Carla Jean Hankins (David); brother, Bobby Eugene Davis (Wilma Jean); grandchildren, Ross Bateman (Bobbie), Lee Bateman (Krystal), Micah Malone (Cody), Clayton Davis (Danielle), Zack Davis, Josh Davis (Nicole), Brittany Hinojos (Andrew), Katie Marchese (Vince), Hollis Hankins, Samantha Hankins and 11 great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons and one great-grandson due in September. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Robinson's. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with Reverend Reginald Russell and Pastor Mike Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Shell Cemetery.
