Walter E. "Eddie" Spears

Walter E. "Eddie" Spears, 78, of Fordyce, died Friday, May 29, 2015 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born Oct. 19, 1936 in Cleveland County, Ark. He was owner of Spears Dry Kiln and Service Company, Inc. and he also served in the Army National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter C. "Snooks" Spears and Eva Trantham Spears. He is survived by his wife, Judy Stewart Spears of Fordyce; one son, Edward R. "Butch" (Kim) Spears of Fordyce; one daughter, Sherry Beth (Jerel) Saeler of Fordyce; one stepdaughter, Judith Gael Overton of Fordyce; two grandchildren, Barbara Ryan Saeler of Los Angeles, Calif. and Alyssa Overton of Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at McCoy Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
