Dianne Campbell

Dianne Purtle Campbell died on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was born on February 13, 1948 to the late L.J. and Mary Wanda "Mimi" Purtle in Hope, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Hope High School in 1966. She worked as a nurse and she served in the USAF Nurses Corps from 1970 to 1971 and was stationed in Tucson, Arizona. There she met and married Ron Campbell. She retired in 2011 to enjoy her love of gardening. She loved keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, but her greatest passion was being the best "D" ever to her two grandsons, Carson and Tyler. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, L.J. and Mary Wanda Purtle; sister, Linda Jean (Joe Matt) Herndon, all of Hope, Arkansas. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kelli (George) Alvarez of Bossier City, Louisiana and Christopher Carr Campbell of Benton, Arkansas; her brothers, Tony (Sandy) Purtle of Little Rock, Arkansas and Jim (Peggy) Purtle of Hope, Arkansas; her pride and joy two precious grandsons, Carson Jacob and Tyler Blake Alvarez of Bossier City, Louisiana; also numerous nephews, nieces, friends and co-workers. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2015; service will follow at 11 am with Bro. Stan Parris officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
