PATRICIA HALE MILLWEE GALVIN, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away in Little Rock, Ark. on June 7, 2015. She was the youngest child of Eulas and Eleanor Hale, born March 15, 1929 in Galveston, Texas. In 1941, the family moved to Houston where Patricia graduated from Lamar High School in 1947. As a young woman, she worked as a secretary for Humble Oil and Refining Company (now Exxon). In 1949, she married Robert Miles Millwee Jr. in Houston, Texas where they raised five children before moving to Little Rock in 1967. While raising their family, Patricia and Robert relocated numerous times, in three different states, for Robert's civil engineering career. With every move, Patricia created a stable, loving, and beautiful home for the family, settling her children in new schools and engaging them in activities with new friends. She was a gifted artist and graciously shared her talents with her children, as well as the schools they attended and the organizations they participated in. Her sweet disposition, loving nature, sense of humor, and creativity were constant threads throughout her life and touched all of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 33 years Robert Miles Millwee Jr.; her husband of seven years Maynard Cornelius Galvin; her brothers, Eulas Hale, Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Lindley Hubly Hale of Hender- sonville, Tennessee; and her sister Elizabeth Hale Taylor of Pasadena, Texas. Patricia is survived by her five children and their spouses, Janis Millwee Thomas and Harold Thomas of Los Altos, Calif.; Nancy Millwee Vincent of Collierville, Tenn.; Miles Robert Millwee and Melinda of Sarasota, Fla.; Patrick Hale Millwee and Bke of Little Rock, Ark.; and Charles Kipling Millwee of Collierville, Tenn. She also leaves nine grandchildren, James Hale Davidson, Caroline Stephens and husband Bruce, Jay Freeman, Ben Rupich and wife Tina, Casey Millwee Clinch and husband James, Haleigh Millwee Geels and husband Logan, Dakota Miles Millwee, Jackson Bullitt Millwee, Griffin Hawk Millwee; six great-grandchildren, Sydney Stephens, Rowdy Stephens, Zachary Rupich, Nicholas Rupich, Eli Clinch, Cora Clinch, and 11 nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be at the Millwee Cemetery in Horatio, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Employees Fund, 516 S. Rodney Parham, Little Rock, Ark. 72205. The family is grateful for the wonderful care and assistance they provided to Patricia and the family in her final years.
