Joe S. Claypool Sr., 85, of Greenbrier quietly slipped away quietly passing into God's eternal life and love, Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was born June 25, 1929, in Paris, Ark., to Steve and Laura Claypool. Joe's motto in life was, "Everyone in life had the right to be fed". He did this by starting several different food programs throughout central Arkansas. He volunteered to deliver meals on wheels, to assist at the Dorcas House, and held Bible studies there. Joe delighted in hunting and fishing. This is evidenced by all the mounted specimens he possesses. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joe Scott Claypool Jr.; and two sisters, Louise Goates and Wanda Ellis. Joe is survived by his wife of six years, Barbara Claypool; his triplet grandchildren: Kayde, Kyndall and Jaret Johnson, and their mother, Dr. Kimberly Johnson of Crossville, Tenn.; three sisters: Edith Ellis, Dorothy Martin, and Sue McGee; and one brother, Doyle H. Claypool. He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Tina Hice; three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also survived by his beloved little Pomeranian, Foxy Lady. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, with a visitation preceding the funeral service at 9 a.m. at Life Song Baptist Church. An online guest book is available at www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
