Veronda G. Cox

HOPKINS–Mrs. Veronda G. Cox, 63, of Hopkins, S.C., entered into rest on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center. Mrs. Cox was one of four children born in Pike City, Ark. to the late Marion and Laura Bailey. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Ray Bailey and a granddaughter, Tristan Shelton. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Cox; a son, Travis McClure (Melanie); daughters, Cynthia McElrath (Brad) and Teresea Shelton (Brent); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Charles Bailey (Ann); two sisters, Francis Edgin and Irene Slatton (Chris); and a host of other relatives and friends. Family gatherings will be held at a later date and time to celebrate the life of Mrs. Veronda G. Cox.
