Edward (Pinky) Nathan Morris Sr., 87, of Keo, passed away June 29 in England, Ark. He was born in Keo on July 24, 1927. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Everett Morris and Aurelia Letzkus Zermatten Morris Venable, and sisters, Katherine Haines, Dorothy Capps, and Flo Morris. Edward Morris worked and lived all of his 87 years in Keo. After marrying his love, Norma Jean, Edward worked his mother, Aurelia's, land for nearly 10 years, and then purchased his own farm and built a home for his family. Edward's love of nature and land included more than just cotton, soybeans, and rice. He had notable ventures in land leveling and tree planting. He also raised hydroponic tomatoes and flowers, and was a beekeeper and honey producer. He lived by the Farmer's Almanac and followed the weather trends faithfully. He was also a cabinetmaker and master tinkerer. He loved pulling jokes and crafting new puzzles and games for his family and friends. He spent many hours in his shop building and fixing things. Most of all, Edward loved being around his family and friends. He always had time to visit and share a cup of coffee or glass of iced tea. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
