Ruth Tisdale Sallis

Ruth Tisdale Sallis, 92, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Fayetteville. She was born December 18, 1922 in Enterprise, Alabama the daughter of William Daniel and Mary Jane Northington Tisdale. Ruth was a graduate of Huntington College in 1945; worked with Dr. Oppenheimer on the Atomic Bomb; graduate of Fontbonne College in St. Louis and the University of Missouri with a fellowship in nutrition; worked at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis serving internship for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndon Sallis; 2 sons, Dan Griffith and George Griffith. Survivors include two grandsons, Christopher Griffith and Aaron Griffith. Interment will be in the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
