Michael K. "Mickey" Pierce, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed from this life on March 4, 2015. He was born on May 13, 1942 in El Paso, Texas, the son of W.J. "Buck" Pierce and Hazel K. He loved motorcycle riding as he had ridden his Gold Wing in all 48 contiguous states, Alaska and many of the provinces of Canada. He also loved flying and held a private pilot license. He was well liked by a host of friends and relatives who will always remember his service to others, his generosity and his contagious sense of humor. Mickey is survived by one son, Michael K. Pierce Jr., and was preceded in death by two daughters, Sara Lynn and Lisa Gail, all three while married to Sharon Gail Pierce. One grandson, Joshua Scott through Sara Lynn, as well as one brother Dwight Pierce (Dorothy) of Tulsa, Okla. Additionally, he enjoyed stepchildren, Michelle, Garringer and Rusty Petit through his marriage to Shelia Pierce, and stepchildren Steve Evans, Sheri Carter and Shelia May when married to Myrtle Pierce. North Little Rock Funeral Home provided cremation services. A memorial service will be held March 7th at 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
