James A. Smith

James A. Smith, 63, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2015. He was the fifth child of six, born October 26, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Jimmie L. and Ardeth (Milligan) Smith, both of whom preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. In 1973, he married Joyce Stevenson, with whom he had his two sons. They later divorced. He is survived by his sons, Joshua (Ashley) Smith, Antioch, Tenn., Mark Smith, North Little Rock, Ark., and four granddaughters. He is also survived by his siblings, Charlene (Darrell) Clement, Okla., Sarah Harrington, Kan., William "Sonny" (Darla) Smith, Fla., Brenda (Carl) Cloke, Kan., and Kenneth (Terri) Smith, Ark., and many nieces and nephews.
