Betty Jean Heer Williams

Betty Jean Heer Williams born October 29, 1921, died March 9, 2015. Betty is preceded in death by her parents: Pearl Bliss and John Jacob Heer, her sisters: Marguerite H. Foster & Wanita H. Gould, her husband, Marvin S. Williams and her son: Roger G. Williams. Betty was a lifelong resident of Little Rock, Arkansas. At the age of 15 years old she graduated from Little Rock High School. She attended Little Rock Junior College, graduating with a degree in business. She had a long and varied career working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Standard Oil, The Methodist Clergy, and she ended her career with the U.S. attorney's office. Betty is survived by her son: Robert and daughter-in-law Jewell Williams, daughter: Carolyn and son-in-law Harry Gaffney, grandchildren: Kristen Munoz and Steven Williams, Daughter-in-law: Nancy Williams, niece: Martha, her husband Page Daniel, and their daughters Nita and Bliss, and her dear friends: Beverly, Jimmy, Rusty and Sassy Williams. Betty was an animal lover who adored all of her pets particularly her small dogs. She was always sure to care for the neighborhood cats: providing a warm bed or meal on a cold night. She was a strong woman who doted on her family always. We are all better for having known our dear Betty. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite animal rescue charity. Services will be held at Griffin, Leggett, Healey & Roth on Wednesday March 11, at 10 a.m., 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark.
