Kevin Warren Knight, age 55 of Cabot passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was born January 4, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee to Warren and Sandra Kelley Knight. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren knight; maternal grandparents, Luke and Louise Kelley; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Louise Knight. Kevin was a member of Oak Grove First Baptist Church. He could fix anything with his own two hands and loved to cut down trees, build outdoor fires, mow the lawn and feed the fish. He loved TransAms and going fast. Kevin was a big music lover. He never met a stranger and was always optimistic. Kevin always had a good story to tell and would give you the shirt off his back. He lived every day to his fullest that included climbing the water tower in Cabot and changing the word Cabot to "Ernie". Kevin loved his family more than life itself and was instrumental in helping build the Knights Grocery Stores. Kevin was a man of God and loved the Lord with all his heart. He lived his life on his terms at full speed. Kevin was loved so very much by his family. His wife and kids adored him and learned so many loving lessons from Kevin just by being around him. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karmen Knight; three children, Kourtney Purdue, Kaitlin McMillen, Kaleb Knight; mother, Sandra Night; three grandchildren; Kamen, Kruz and Jackson; two brothers, Keith (Cherie) Knight, Kent (Karen) Knight along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Cabot with Brother Matt Caton officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
