Fred Lawhon

On March 16, 2015 we lost our best friend, husband, son, father, grandfather and brother, due to a brief illness Fred Lawhon of Malvern. Fred was born on March 7, 1953, in Helena, Ark. to Carl Hugh Lawhon Sr. and Freddie Crippen Lawhon. He is survived by his wife, Diann Torbett Lawhon; sons, Chris (Jennifer), Patrick (Nikki) and daughter, Emily. He is also survived by his momma, brother, Hugh (Mary) Lawhon, and sisters, Janice (Glenn) Haddox, Pat (Denny) Dyer and Laura Kirby. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Devin, Dalton, Dawson, Ryan, Reed, Haleigh, John Hayden and many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was a long time dispatcher and truck driver, but his best position ever was being a foster daddy to many children in need. He was an avid golfer and longtime coach for youth baseball in Sardis, Glen Rose and Malvern. A celebration and visitation of his life will be held Sunday, March 22 from 2-4 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home, 1839 Pine Bluff Street, Malvern, Ark. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
