Betty Louise Ballenger

Betty Louise Seiler Ballenger, 86, of Little Rock passed from this life March 25, 2015. She was born August 29, 1929 to the late Harold and Leona Seiler in New Orleans, La. She had one brother, Mickey Seiler. Betty fought a long and hard battle with her illness for the last two years. She was a former AR State employee and retired after 23 years of service. Growing up, she also did volunteer work for Red Cross. She played the piano and organ at her church for 47 years. She married Gene E. Ballenger on December 23, 1956. He preceded her in death, as did her parents and brother. She was blessed with two children who survived her, Betty Loujean Ballenger McDougal of Mabelvale and Danny Charles Ballenger (Nina) of Colorado Springs, Colo. Her four grandchildren also remain: Brandon & Samantha McDougal of Mabelvale and Brooke & Andrew Ballenger of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and many other relatives from Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Saline Memorial Hospice, 23157 Interstate 30, Bryant, Ark. 72022, (501) 315-0136. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Intestate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209, (501) 455-5800. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander. The family will receive friends from 5–7 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
