Dennis Lynn Sipes

Dennis Lynn Sipes, age 67, of Monticello, died Friday, March 27, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Mr. Sipes was born Sept. 20, 1947 in Rison, a son of the late Raymond Jack Sipes and Elvalee Roberts Sipes. He was a graduate of Rison High School and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. Mr. Sipes was owner and operator for 14 years of B & D Iron and Metal. His grandchildren meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment he got to spend with them. In addition to his father, Mr. Sipes is preceded in death by his stepson, Bobby Kennedy. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty Sipes of Monticello; two sons: Gary Sipes and wife, Stacey of Rison, Barry Sipes of Monticello; one daughter, Shari Wilkerson and husband, John of Star City; mother, Elvalee Robert Sipes of Rison; one brother, Terry Sipes and wife, Jennifer of Rison; one sister, Pat Ryan and husband, George of Little Rock; eight grandchildren: Colt Kennedy and wife, Jenny of Monticello, Kelly Sullivan and husband, John of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Madison Sipes of Rison, Kaylan Sipes of Rison, Caleb Sipes of Rison, Faith Sipes of Rison, Morgan Matthis of Orlando, Fla., Abigail Wilkerson of Star City, and five nieces. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Pastor Bobby Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m., Monday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Jim Morgan, Randy Morgan, Keith Gresham, Jay England, G. L.
