Volunteering at CJOHN, Christian Community Care Clinic and Habitat for Humanity of Saline County, was at the top of his list. For all that knew him well, know that his greatest joy came from his faith in God, his family, his friends in Christ and his love for his community and country. People often say that it is difficult to verbalize the effect a person has on our lives. That is a case here. He was a witness of Jesus Christ, a loving husband, Parent, grand/great grandparent, uncle and friend. He was truly a faithful servant which was expressed through his relationships and service to the community of Saline County. The people of Saline County embraced him, which was also a personal "Life Saver" for him. His wish was that people would give back to the community through gifts, service and prayers. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Benton. Burial will follow at Old Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church, 12 noon until 2 p.m. before services. On line guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
