Alton Lamar Tenison

Alton Tenison, age 72 of Lonoke went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 21, 2015. He was born in Carlisle, Arkansas to the late Kelse and Margaret Perryman Tenison. He married the love of his life Linda Lou Tipton on November 18, 1962 in Coy, Arkansas. Alton was a faithful member, Deacon and served as the Leader for the Senior Saints at New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Lonoke, Arkansas. He loved spending time with his family especially his precious grandchildren, including the furry ones too, as well as camping and fishing. Music was Alton's world. He spent many hours playing his guitar and hosting impromptu picking and grinning sessions with friends and family. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Tenison of Lonoke; four children, Jeff Tenison of Sherwood, Mark (Melinda) Tenison of Jacksonville, Beth (Nathan) Scales and Amy (Aaron) Scales all of Cabot; five grandchildren, April Berryman, Cassidy Tenison, Luke, Ethan and Emma Scales and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Chapel in Cabot, Arkansas.
