Oneita Souheaver, 90, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. She was born August 23, 1924 in Cornerville, Arkansas to Homer and Lois Newton. She was a member of Amboy United Methodist Church. She was a survivor of the Great Depression. At age 16, she raised four siblings after the death of her parents. Oneita was married during World War II and supported her husband while he was in the Korean War. She enjoyed quilting as a hobby. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Mickey Souheaver; parents; son, Randy Souheaver; grandson, Brent Souheaver; and nine siblings. Oneita is survived by son, Gary T. Souheaver (Louann); daughter, Sharon Henriksen; sister, Jean May; grandchildren, Kevin Henriksen, Kyle Henriksen and Erica Lindsey; step-granddaughter, Angie Spring; great-grandchildren, Bennett Souheaver, Jessica Henriksen, Ashley Henriksen and Ryan Henriksen; step-great-grandchildren Emma Claire and Jackson Spring; and a host of extended family. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
