Sara E. Peterson

Sara E. Peterson, 91, of Mayflower passed from this life on Saturday, October 31, 2015. She was born July 16, 1924 in Arlington, TN to the late Walter L. Carter and Ethel Williams Carter. She was also preceded in death by her spouse, Robert P. Peterson; a sister Maggie; and a son, Ben Walter. Gardening and sewing were her two favorite things. Sara dearly loved her family and she always knew what they were doing. She is survived by two sons, Michael Murphy (Priscilla) of Little Rock and Ben Murphy of Durango, Colo.; a sister, Jane of Bartlett, Tenn.; a brother, Donald of Bartlett, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Buck, Zenine(James), Kelly (Roy), Lori (George), and Charles (Rachel); 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Harry. A Graveside Service will be held at Mayflower Cemetery in Mayflower at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
