Willene Yant

Willene Yant, 79, of Greenbrier passed from this life on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born May 14, 1936 in Shelbyville, Ark. to the late George Van Shaver and Ruthel Milligan Shaver. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Yant. Willene worked for the V.A. Credit Union for over 23 years before retiring. She loved taking care of her flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an honorary granny to everyone. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Landon Yant; a daughter, Marilyn Haygood (Billy) of Arkadelphia; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Yant of Benton; a brother, Robert Van Shaver; five grandchildren, Megan Sherwood (Brandon), Katie McKinney (Spencer), B.J. Haygood (Kim), Cameron Haygood, and Brandon Yant; and six great grandsons. A Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Greenbrier First United Methodist Church. Interment to follow at Cadron Valley Cemetery in Greenbrier. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
