Sophia Cross Fly

Sophia Cross Fly, 93, of DeWitt died November 11, 2015. She was born on November 14, 1921, in Tichnor to William Levi Cross and Clara Elizabeth McClanahan Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Wayne Fly; one son, Billy Wayne Fly; two brothers, Dempsey and Herbert Cross; and one sister, Anna Cross. Survivors include her son and his wife, Jerry and Cynthia Fly of DeWitt; three grandchildren, Tasha Herman, David Craig Fly, and Alix Stephens; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. November 14 at DeWitt Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital. www.essexfuneralhome.com.
