Gladis Bright

Gladis Bright, 79, of Little Rock, Ark., received her wings on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She's preceded in death by both parents, Charlie Bright and Matlene Macklin; one son, Sgt. Willie James Bright; sister, Mattie Bright; brothers, John Wiggins and Jerry Wiggins; one grandson, Demico Broadway; a special niece, Shirley A. Jones; one great grandson, Raheem Broadway; and a great-nephew, Darnelle Barnes. Survived by: her only daughter and son-in-law, that were caregivers and made the light shine bright in her life Rev. Diane Bright Harrison (Vernon); six grandchildren, Tristye Bright, Tamecia Bright, Dominique Bright, Branon Harrison, Willie D. McDaniel, and Talisha Johnson; a special nephew, Melvin Jones and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Ms. Bright worked for the Marianna Arkansas School District for 17 years and later moved to Little Rock and joined the Little Rock School District where she remained for 27 years. A celebration service will be held Today, November 14, 2015, 11 a.m., at Rufus K. Young Christian Church, 2100 Main Street, Little Rock, Ark.
