Zenoba Lee Baribeau, 85, of Little Rock, Arkansas went to heaven on November 12th, 2015. Known as Zenoba, Z, Mother, and Mamaw, she was loved by a large family and many friends. Born in Ranger, Texas in 1929 to Emma and William Stovall, she was the youngest of 7 children. She married E.C. Smith of Rule, Texas in 1947. They had 4 children and moved their family to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1965. Though they divorced in 1982, they have remained friends throughout the years. She married Donald Baribeau of Little Rock in 1985. They traveled the world together and square-danced all over the U.S. Zenoba loved playing bridge and was active in many bridge clubs. She was also an active member of the AARP. She loved to socialize and be with her friends and family. She enjoyed an occasional trip to Tunica where she would play only penny slots…maybe a nickel slot on a good day. She loved to go to Murry's Dinner Playhouse and also enjoyed water aerobics at the YMCA for many years. Zenoba was preceded in death by her husband Donald Baribeau, both parents, all siblings, and her son Michael Smith of Little Rock. She left behind three daughters and a daughter-in-law: Cindy Peters of Little Rock; Rebecca Mattthews of Austin, Texas; Vicky Fernald (Mark) of Bar Harbor, Maine; and Cheryl Smith of Little Rock. She had seven grandchildren: Shannon Ramer (Doug) of Little Rock; Jennifer Newbern (John who she called her "Sweetie") of Little Rock; Carmen Matthews of Austin, Texas; Josh Smith (Danica) of Conway; Jessica Peters of Washington, D.C.; and Coleman and Emma Fernald of Bar Harbor, Maine. She had 6 great grandchildren: Mallory and Pete Newbern of Little Rock; Landon Ramer of Little Rock; Evelyn Albanese and Elise Shackelford of Austin, Texas; and Marlee Smith of Conway. She also leaves behind the Baribeau family, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends. She will be greatly missed here on earth, but we are all so happy knowing she is with her family that has waited for her in heaven, and that all her physical pain is gone. We all look forward to seeing her again, and saying "Helllloooo" like only she could. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home. Burial will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Humane Society of Pulaski County, Little Rock, Ark. Sn online guestbook is available at www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
