Ruth Ann Murphy

Ruth Ann Murphy, age 93, of Dardanelle died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born October 27, 1922 at Chicago to the late Nicholas John and Lydia Rodekuhr Wirzfeld. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Home Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Murphy; one son, George Murphy; one brother, Ramon Wirzfeld; two sisters, Marie L. Davis, Louise Wirzfeld and one grandson, Michael Davis. Survivors include one daughter, Irene Davis of Dardanelle; two brothers, Robert Wirzfeld, Nicolas Wirzfeld both of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Robert Davis (Julie Moore) of Virginia, Heidiann Davis (Kris) of Perry, Woodrow Davis (Shelley) of Virginia; three great grandchildren, Robert Davis of Virginia, Ryan Blackwell of Perry, Jacob Davis of Virginia and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A family held graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.
