Peggy B. Gee

Peggy Bailey Gee, 80, of North Little Rock passed away November 20, 2015. She was born March 21, 1935 in Model, Tennesee to Carter W. and Katie Pearl Bailey. Peggy loved her family and friends and always put them before herself. Her friends would often speak of her sweet spirit. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards with her husband, and cooking for her family. Peggy loved animals and had a special place in her heart for her dogs. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock and cherished her time with her Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. Gee Sr.; daughter, Rita Nell Gee; and her uncle and aunt, who helped raise her after her mother died, H.P. and Dot Vinson. She is survived by daughter, Mary Anne Newton (Mike); son, Robert L. Gee Jr.; grandchildren: Jacob L. Steward (Sarah) and Michael R. Newton (Jamie); and great-grandchildren: Haden, Olivia, Sophia and Charlie-Anne. The family would like to thank the ladies who cared for and loved Peggy for several years; Ulanda Johnson, Jacie Perrine, and Andrea Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to The Alzheimers Association. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
