Janice M. Manning, age 75, of Hot Springs Village, died Saturday, October 3, 2015. She was born on August 14, 1940 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph Skergan and Mary Veronica Ryan Skergan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Manning; her parents; two brothers, Vince Skergan and Jim Skergan; and one sister, Marge Johnson. Janice was a Presbyterian in faith. She spent a lifetime teaching piano and also was an accomplished church choir director and organist. Janice was an avid Bridge player who recently achieved the level of Lifetime Master in Duplicate Bridge. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Vicki Reed of Midland, Michigan and Jim and Stephanie Reed of Bryant; one daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Randy Stroud of Batesville; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Reed, Sarah Reed, Brian Garrison, Lauren Garrison, Abbey Reed, Emily Reed and Maggie Reed; one great-grandson, Weston Garrison; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil and Bobbie Skergan and Don and Audrey Skergan; one sister, Gerrie Poole; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 in the Faith Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Batesville with Bro. Rian Puckett officiating.
