Rosalea Spakes Pierce

Rosalea Spakes Pierce, age 83, of Benton, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was born September 22, 1932 at Rowell, AR to the late Foy Havis Spakes and Verna Mae Wolf Spakes. A resident of Benton since 1954, she was retired from Gibson's Department Store. Mrs. Pierce was a member of Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church. Her husband, James E. Pierce, predeceased her in 2008. Also preceding her in death are two sons, Gary and Larry Pierce; and two brothers, Darrell Spakes and Boyd Coats. Survivors include a son, David Lynn Pierce of Benton; two brothers, Max Coats (Brenda) and Havis Spakes; three sisters, Sue Ballew (Johnny), Jessie Margaret Bunting (Mike), and Linda Faye Vinson (Sammie); seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister-in-law, Judy Spakes. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South in Pine Bluff. Graveside services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Rowell Cemetery in Cleveland County.
