Delton Jackson Ashley, 80, of Lonoke passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at home. He was born April 8, 1935 in Little Rock to Ganard and Lessie Ashley. He was a graduate of Fuller High School where he was an all-around athlete. He thoroughly enjoyed his Fuller Boys Reunion each year. He played American Legion baseball with the Doughboys and was scouted by the St Louis Cardinals. He retired from Safeway. Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Donald and Glen Dale Ashley, and sister, Letha Mae Pifer. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ernestine Ashley and two daughters, Chris Ashley and Kimberly (Danny) Baldridge; was "Paw Paw" to two grandchildren, Casey and Brodie Baldridge; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Emley. Also surviving; his brother, Willie Charles (Sally) Ashley and a sister, Wanda (Tosh) Hager; his loving extended family, Nell (Gerald) Henderson, Hershel (Mary) Howard, Nadine (David) Davenport, Pat (Tommy) Castleberry, Mavis (Charlie) Martin and many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 10 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with a visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Online guest book, www.boydfuneralhome.net.
