Jean Bond

Jean Bond died in the afternoon of October 8, 2015. She was born in McKenzie, Alabama on October 12, 1932 to Clara and James Browder as their eighth child. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Beeman Brabham Bond. Also surviving are two children, Craig Anderson Bond and Kyle Brabham Bond, two grandchildren, Mary Helen Bond and Scott Elliot Bond and one great-granddaughter, Adelia Helen Bond. Jean graduated from Auburn University (formerly Alabama Polytechnic Institute) with a degree in Pharmacy in 1956, and from Webster University with an MBA. During her career she managed hospital pharmacies in Charleston, South Carolina, and Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Jean was always active in her community including being elected President of the Arkansas Hospital Pharmacy Association and was Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Southeast Arkansas Community College. She also was a member of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) in Fairhope, Alabama. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the St. James Concert Series, St. James Episcopal Church, Fairhope, Alabama.
