Wayne Thomas Whitley

Wayne Thomas Whitley, 74, of Thornton died Monday October 12, 2015 in Conway. Born December 27, 1940, he was a son of the late Marshall Whitley and Alma Harper Whitley. Survivors include his wife, Vivian McAlister Whitley; daughter, Donna Wooten; son-in-law, Clark Wooten; grandson, Will Wooten, and granddaughter-in-law, Laura Wooten; granddaughter, Whitley Wooten; daughter, Rhonda Whitley; daughter Elizabeth Joyner; son-in-law Chris Joyner; grandson Lance Corporal Ethan Joyner; grandson Ryan Joyner; step-granddaughter Caralee Joyner; Brothers Paul "Dick" Whitley and Barbara Sue of Thornton, Larry Whitley and Sherry of Fordyce; sister, Carolyn Sue Brandon of Thornton; aunt Dorothy Erwin of Thornton. He was retired from the USAF and the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He loved all things Razorbacks, bass fishing, deer hunting, and his grandchildren. Above all he loved the Lord and his wife. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rusty Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
