Clark W. "Buddy" Hastings

Clark Waverly "Buddy" Hastings, Jr., 62, of Jefferson, died Saturday, October 17, 2015. He was born April 11, 1953 in Dermott, son of Colonel Clark W. Hastings and Joline Tiner Hastings. Buddy was reared and received his early education in McGehee, graduating from McGehee High School. He attended Arkansas Tech University and graduted from Fayetteville Community Technical College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He worked many places as a designer and draftsman, retiring from URS in White Hall in 2012. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to Rolling Stones and cooking. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Clark W. Hastings, III and Matthew D. Hastings; and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Carol Culpepper, whom he married February 12, 1989 in Pine Bluff; step-son, Matthew D. Johnson and his wife, Jill, of Benton; grandson, Mason Andrew Johnson of Benton and brother, Steve Hastings. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Father Frank DuPreez officiating.
