KAY SHREEVE, age 75, of Little Rock, Ark., passed on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. She was born Feb. 21, 1940 in the old Helena Hospital to Helen and Victor Shreeve. She attended Beechcrest Elementary and Woodruff Junior High in West Helena and graduated from Central High in Helena. Her higher education included nursing school in Helena where she graduated with an LPN certification. She was a dedicated lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Helena and was a two year resident of All Saints Convent in Catonsville, Md. after the death of her mother. The Reverend Duane Saba (now deceased), the long time rector at St. Johns and good friend, frequently reminded us that, considering her brain injury suffered as a young girl, Kay did a lot of good with her life. She lived to serve others and loved all animals. She resided in Maumelle for several years where she attended worship services at Grace Lutheran Church and finished her earthly life at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab in Little Rock. We have greatly appreciated the loving care given to her by the staff at Pleasant Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include brother, Kent Shreeve (Anna) of Little Rock; two nieces one nephew; several cousins and special friends, Bill Peel of Little Rock and Mother Virginia of Catonsville, Md. Services will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in Helena-West Helena at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation, beginning at 10 a.m., will precede the service. Memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 625 Pecan St., Helena-West Helena, AR 72342. Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571. Relatives and friends may sign the online guest book at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/westhelena.
