Oscar B. Holiman

Col. Oscar B. (OB) Holiman, Retired, 86, born in Sheridan, Arkansas on February 17, 1929 to Oscar and Willie Wheat Holiman, passed away on October 29, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Oscar was raised in Malvern, Arkansas and served in both the Army and Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a business degree and was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. OB owned and operated his own business, Holiman Brick Company in Little Rock. He was a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy McMillan Holiman and his sister, Glendal Buffington, Oscar is survived by his wife, Mary Holiman, and numerous nephews and nieces whom he loved very much. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Rockport Cemetery in Malvern, officiated by Rev. Ed Simpson and Rev. David B. Bentley. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
