Albert Arendt Jr., 77, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away September 10, 2015. He was born December 22, 1937 in Little Rock to the late Albert Arendt, Sr. and Marion Nicewarner Arendt. Albert attended Indian Springs Baptist Church. He served as secretary of the Farm Club, which flew radio controlled planes. Albert also enjoyed hunting, photography, travelling, and spending time with family. Preceding Albert in death are his parents and sister, Patricia Arendt Helton. Left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Dorothy Bolin Arendt of Little Rock; son, Steve Arendt and wife Nicky of Bryant, AR; daughter, Bridgett Arendt Lawson and husband Bill of Bryant, Ark.; grandchildren, Anna Arendt, Spencer Arendt, William Lawson, and Josh Lawson; brother, Leslie Arendt of Little Rock; sister, Cheryl Arendt-Ford of Houston, Texas as well as many relatives and friends who loved Albert and will miss him always. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Tom Williams, will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015, 10 a.m. at Indian Springs Baptist Church, 23581 Interstate 30, Bryant, Ark. 72022. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery assisted by Allyn Arendt, Jessie Arendt, Scott Helton, Mark Helton, Greg Taylor, and Tim Hornbuckle serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Johnston. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Ark. 72015.
