Pauline (Polly) Pearce Mano, 89, of Little Rock, died on her birthday, September 12, 2015, the birth date that she and her husband, Len, shared in common for 66 years until he passed away last year. Polly, daughter of Paul and Gertrude Pearce, was born in 1926, the fourth of six children, including Claude, Zulla, Charles, Harold and Roy, all now deceased. Polly attended Arkansas State Teachers College and married Len in 1947 after he returned from service in World War II. Throughout their lifetimes, they were totally devoted to each other, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and daily modeled spiritual, moral and practical values for them. They raised their family by their actions as well as their words. Polly appreciated and enjoyed the opportunity she had to actively participate in raising her children through regular after-school treats, serving in leadership of PTA organizations and regularly chaperoning countless school and church field trips. After her children were grown, she enjoyed serving as receptionist for Len and their son Randy, in their public accounting firm, followed by many years in her favorite employment role meeting and helping people as a registrar for the Little Rock Convention Bureau. Prior to becoming physically limited for over a decade with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Polly regularly attended worship services at Fellowship Bible Church and First Christian Church. At First Christian, she and Len were among the founders of the Believers Class and enjoyed singing in the choir together. She served as president of Christian Women's Fellowship and was among the original members of The Glorias, a women's ensemble at First Christian, and enjoyed singing with them for many years. Polly loved traveling with Len to Hawaii and on Alaskan cruises and investing time in the lives of her family that included daughter Jan Watson (and Jim) son, Randy (and Georgia), grandchildren, Scott (Alyssa), Jeni (Jason), Randall (Sara), Chris (Johanna) and Kirby (Katie) and great-grandchildren, Noah, Cameron, Piper, Nora, Malen, Hixson, Carson, Ellie, Gus, Julia, Avery and Otto. Our Nana and Papa are already, and will always be, greatly missed. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300.
