William L. Dobbs

William L. Dobbs, age 90 of North Little Rock, passed away September 10, 2015. He was born May 20, 1925 in Benton, Arkansas; and he was the son of Frank Morgan Dobbs and Mary Alice Oglesby. Mr. Dobbs was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific. He was a recreational therapist for the VA Hospital for twenty-six years and a Pulaski County Deputy Sheriff for twelve years, as well as a life-long Methodist, who was a member of Levy United Methodist Church for over sixty years, and recently enjoyed attending the last few years at Amboy United Methodist Church. Mr. Dobbs enjoyed spending time with his devoted son and going to casinos in Mississippi and Hot Springs, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty. Survivors include his son, Robert E. Dobbs of Little Rock; granddaughters, Courtney E. Dobbs of Riverview, Florida, and Morgan D. Ritchie of San Antonio, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Ritchie of Norfolk, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, Arkansas, with burial and military honors following at Little Rock National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Huson Funeral Home.
