Barry Williams was born July 22, 1965 to Pete and Linda Williams in El Dorado, Arkansas. He departed this life of Sunday, September 13, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He confessed a belief in Christ at an early age and united with the Salem Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. He later joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. Barry was a proud member of the 1983 graduating class of Little Rock Central High School where he was a member of the LRCH football team and a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He later attended college at Arkansas Tech, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was working towards a Master's degree in Public Administration at the time of his death. Barry worked as the County Executive Director for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (later Farm Service Agency) for Dallas and Cleveland Counties and later Phillips County. Barry was also an entrepreneur, and formed his own commercial cleaning company, Magic Klean. He worked at the job he loved "cleaning up Arkansas" until the time of his death. Barry also was a strong believer in public service and as such worked tirelessly as a board member and later chairman of the Helena Housing Authority. He also volunteered for the Red Cross, providing care and comfort during times of crisis for those in need. Barry loved to travel, and was known to say, "It's a shame if you die without seeing everything." He made it his mission to try to see everything, and take his family along for the ride. Barry is preceded in death by his grandparents Harper and Lillie Williams, and Clayburn Reed and Jessie Reed-Thigpen, and his sister, Laquita Gail. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Pete and Linda Williams, his sister, Veronica, and his beloved girlfriend, Sylvia Wynn; also his children: Nadia, Adrian, Alicia, and Andrew; grandchildren, Ryan, Jayron, Victoria, Sylvia, and Zelda. Funeral services will be Thursday September 17, 11 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church 2501 Main St. Little Rock, Ark. Visitation today from 1 til 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S. Battery St., Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
