Maureen Ava Walters, 66, of Mayflower went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 14, 2015. She was born January 2, 1949 in Missoula, Montana to Bryan Eugene Hanson and Alice Marie Murphy Hanson. She graduated from high school in Tipton, Iowa and attended college in Indianapolis, Indiana. Maureen worked as a Medical Records Clerk for various Doctors including Baptist Health Therapy Center and Baker Eye Clinic. She always maintained active participation in church activities including Sanctuary Choir and as a Sunday School Teacher at Friendship Baptist Church in Vilonia. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Karen Jean Fultz. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ray Walters, daughter Sarah Anne Goodeaux and husband Robert of Lonsdale, Arkansas and grandchildren, Jessa Rose Goodeaux and Cole Alton Goodeaux. Other survivors include brother, Bryan J. Hanson and wife Diane of Ft. Oglethorp, Georgia and brother-in-law, Fred Fultz of Fairmont, Illinois. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Harris and Bro. Ken Jordan officiating.
