Richard J. Harness

Richard J. Harness, 67, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. He was born September 8, 1948 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of The Church at Burns Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. Harness and Joyce Birmingham Harness; brothers, John A. Harness, Michael W. Harness and James G. Harness. He is survived by the mother of his children, Carol Harness; son, Randy J. Harness; daughter, Holly A. Harness-Curtis; brother, Mark G. Harness; sister, Sandy K. Harness Gunderman; numerous nieces, nephews and his beloved Lab mix, Buster. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 5 to 7 p.m. at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 25, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial of the urn will be 11 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue.
