Douglas Charles Mason

Douglas Charles Mason, 82, of Hot Springs, passed away September 28, 2015. He was born November 15, 1932 in Rochester, New York. He was the owner of Doug's Steak House in Hot Springs for many years. He has been known for the last 30 years as the Ice Cream Man. He is preceded in death by his mother Rosalie Shane; wife Jean Mason; son, Tony Mason; daughter, Angela Mason; son-in-law, Thomas Ensley; and brother-in-law, Peter Besserer. Loving survivors include his daughter, Dawn Ensley; sisters, Joyce Besserer and Sissy Brown (Brian); grandchildren, Lindsay Ensley, Erica Ensley, Rhianna Mason, and Tony Mason Jr. (Cindy); great-grandchildren, Carter Wilson, Kaden Lang, Carter and Aurora Ivory; nieces, Lisa Muxworthy, Sara Ericksen, and Maddie Fontaine; uncle, Eugene Mason (Pat) and many cousins. The family would like to thank the VA Hospital in Little Rock, the Palliative Care and Oncology Department, Arkansas Hospice, Dr. Koehn, Mary from Senior care, and especially to his nurse and loving family member Tammy Sanchez.
